How We Got Our Name

Hello friends, Holly Fox here; owner of Adorn Salon! I am often presented with the question of how I chose the name of my salon. Throughout my time in the beauty industry I have noticed a frequent pattern of negativity from women of all ages, this isn’t one of those issues we can fix overnight or really at all without a strong uplifting community of women who are constantly reminding each other of the important things in life. SO HARD. I am not knocking these ladies because I struggle with being confident 100% of the time as well, sometimes these issues are hard to face within ourselves. Pampering yourself is 100% okay and obviously I wouldn’t have a job without women loving that experience. My point is beauty is fleeting, we are all going to have little things we wish were different about ourselves but the beautiful thing is we have an internal beauty that we can control and can shine brighter than any artificial product can make you shine! To ADORN means to make more beautiful or attractive, but this is not meant to be an outwards beauty rather an internal, graceful, gentle beauty that we can all obtain. My main reference for my naming Adorn Salon comes from 1 Peter 3:3-4 which reads, “Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.” My team and I want to supply our guests with not only beautiful hair but also the kindness & inspiration that we need as women in this world that can only come from an internal beauty. I challenge all the ladies out there to focus a little less on the imperfections of yourself and a little more on lifting the women up around you, after all a little kindness goes a long way!
